Il CWA Historical Dagger
(attualmente chiamato Sapere Books Historical Dagger) è un premio annuale
assegnato dalla British Crime Writers' Association all'autore del miglior
romanzo poliziesco storico dell'anno. Istituito nel 1999, è dedicato a un
romanzo "con un tema criminale e uno sfondo storico di qualsiasi periodo
fino a 35 anni prima dell'anno in corso". Dal 1999 al 2005 il premio è
stato chiamato Ellis Peters Historical Dagger e dal 2006 al 2012 è stato noto
come Ellis Peters Historical Award, per commemorare la vita e l'opera dello
scrittore di gialli storici Ellis Peters, le cui Cronache di Cadfael
(1977-1994) sono considerate l'opera più rappresentativa del genere. A
partire dal 2014 e fino al 2020 il
premio è diventato noto come CWA Endeavour Historical Dagger grazie alla
sponsorizzazione di Endeavour Press. |
